1 May 2007 - May Day - Cerne Abbas

A very early start to see the Wessex Morris Men on the Cerne Giant performing to welcome the May Day sunrise. The first picture was taken at 05:15.

Light very low at this time in the morning. The horned figure in the middle is the Dorset Ouser or Ooser.

Looking back towards the village. Street lights still lit.

Sunrise was getting closer!

Finally the sun appeared at 5:58.
