31 December 2009 - Stourhead

A New Years Eve walk around the gardens.

The Pantheon from the high path around the lake.

This was the first time we walked to see the Obelisk. In the distance is Stourhead house.

Another new walk for us. A walk up Six Wells Bottom to St Peters Pump.

St Peters Pump at the head of the valley.

Back at the lake. Colours looking a bit dull in the poor winter light.

A brief bit of sunshine makes all the difference.

The Pantheon.

The Temple of Flora. The trees to the left looking quite hazy as a result of smoke drifting through the trees form a bonfire.

A few minutes later and the smoke cleared.
