With the promise of good weather we decided to make a spur of the moment trip to Padstow. Coincidentally it was St Piran’s day.
Mid day looking up the Camel estuary towards the old railway bridge. Very atmospheric with the haze.
The tide was very low. Looking past Rock along the Camel.
The next few shots are from the war memorial above the town. This shot showing the Doom Bar with Newland Rock just visible through the haze.
A wide angle view of the Camel Estuary from Stepper Point on the left to Daymer Bay and Brea Hill.
A closer look at Brea Hill.
Another shot of the Doom Bar.
The ferry on its way to Rock.
Quite a few people enjoying the fine weather.
The London decked out with Cornish flags for St Piran’s day.
Colourful fishing boats.
Padstow Harbour.
