Our first visit to cycle part of the Tarka Trail from Instow to Braunton via Barnstaple.The route follows the banks of the Taw estuary.
We parked at Instow and started our ride here. The trail follows the old railway line.
Before we set of I took a few shots around the waterfront.

We took the longer route through Barnstaple rather than cross the new bridge. This is the old town bridge.
