Corscombe was my destination on a Sunday morning cycle ride from Sherborne.
The parish church of St Mary. The church was built around 1675 and was originally dedicated to St Michael. In the 1800’s the church was restored and rededicated to St Mary.
The church registers date from 1595.
The rebuild in the late 19th century was to reflect a Tudor style. The tower contains six bells.
