A first visit for me to this Fife fishing port. Crail is the most easterly of the fishing ports on the south coast of Fife.
Marketgate south. The Town Hall and Tolbooth.
Crail church or Kirk dates from the 12th century.
Cobbled Shoregate.
Crail Harbour.
A reflection in the harbour waters.
Looking across the Firth of Forth to the Isle of May.
An interesting large boulder on the beach. ET?
A nice old cottage on the corner of Rumford and Castle Street.
The old control tower at Crail Airfield. The airfield has had several uses over the years. In WW1 it was a Royal Flying Corps training establishment. In WW2 it became a Royal Naval Air Station, HMS Jackdaw. Now it is deserted.
