Fontevraud

July 2015 - Some photographs from our visit to Fontevraud Abbey in 2015.
The abbey was founded in the early 12th century  by Robert of Arbrissel. King Henry II of England, his wife Eleanor of Aquitaine and their son King Richard the Lionheart  were buried here at the end of the 12th century.
