14 February 2005 - Swanage

The next leg on our Dorset Coast path walk. This leg is from Swanage to Durlston Head.

Setting off from the sea front, but no in this direction.

This way to Durlston.

Across the bay to Peveril Point.

The globe at Durlston Head. The Great Globe has been carved out of Portland Stone in Victorian times.

Tilly Whim caves. Tilly Whim Caves are actually an old quarry from the time of the Napoleonic Wars where stone was particularly needed for military defence works.
