Another leg on the way to completing the Dorset Coast Path walk. For this leg we started at Seatown and walked to West Bay and back.
We started the walk at Seatown with cloud covering Golden Cap.
As the walk progressed it started to brighten up. Looking east from near Thorncombe Beacon.
Common Toadflax
Descending down into Eype Mouth.
Now approaching West Bay.
Plenty of people out on this Bank Holiday Monday.
The steep rise to East Cliff from West Bay.
The Harbour.
Turning round and heading back to Seatown. The path has several ups and downs before reaching Seatown.
We found this Sea Heath on the side of the path at the foot of the walk out of West Bay.
Approaching Eype Mouth on the return journey.
The view west to Portland from below Thorncombe Beacon.
The steep climb back to the top of Thorcombe Beacon.
A short rest on the way to the top to take picture.
A tumuli and a familiar hill in the distance. Sloes Hill, which is close to the A35 west of Bridport.
The top of Thorncombe Beacon.
The three ups and downs on the way back down to Seatown. Golden Cap in the distance.
Ridge Cliff. It looks like an ancient ditch runs across the hill.
Downhill al the way now.
Back at Seatown and no mist on Golden Cap anymore.
Time for a very refreshing drink before heading home.
